Telescopes with a light mount and aluminium tripod
Telescopes in the Avant series are equipped with a dual mount. These can be operated both in altazimuth as well as equatorial modes. The altazimuth setup is very fast and uncomplicated. It is perfectly sufficient for looking at bright celestial objects. The equatorial operation has the advantage that the telescope only needs to be tracked on one axis in order to hold the celestial object in the eyepiece.
The Avant mount with the elegant, lightweight aluminium tripod also enables photographic accessories to be connected using the 1/4" photo thread.
The Maksutov telescope is particularly interesting for Moon and planetary observers, as this telescope allows high magnification with an image that is full of contrast.
