The fan adjusts the temperature of the main mirror of a telescope to that of the environment.
With a fan, the required cooling time of a telescope’s main mirror can be reduced to 15 to 30 minutes. As the ambient temperature changes during the night, the fan can also ensure a faster adjustment during observing.
