BA310 MET

BA310 MET

Motics new BA310MET series of industrial microscopes are powerful devices for opaque samples in all branches of material science. In industrial quality assurance, but also training for technical professions, they convince with their performance and price.
The BA310MET-T models offer yet more flexibility thanks to their additional transmitted light illumination. The BA310MET-H has a more flexible stand concept for larger samples that an upright microscope could not handle. The new LM Plan objectives with a long working distance provide optimal image results for reflective, non-covered samples. Together with the tube lens, a fully corrected intermediate image is produced without colour fringing. In all models, the incident light illuminator with a powerful 50W halogen light source is available. The integrated aperture and field diaphragms optimise image contrast by reducing stray light.

Key features

Optical System: Infinity objective (CCIS®)

Eyepieces: N-WF10x/20m
Nosepiece: 5 positions
Objectives: LM Plan achromatic

Condenser: LWD condenser NA 0.85
Illumination: Halogen 6V/30W or 12V/50W interchangeable with LED6V/3W or 12V/3W

Flexibility for all specimen sizes

The BA310MET series includes two different stand concepts. The models BA310MET and BA310MET-T are based on an upright microscope stand with a fixed objective nosepiece focusing on a movable stage, while the BA310MET-H uses the focusing mechanism to move the incident light illuminator together with the optics, mounted on a vertical column. This enables an extended focusing range for the examination of large samples. Different sample sizes require different stages: the BA310MET models offer various stages with a travel range of at least 75x50mm. All models with integrated transmitted light illumination are equipped with a glass stage insert, and a long working distance (LWD) condenser. The BA310MET tubes are designed for extended, relaxed working. The photo tubes allow simultaneous visual observation and image capture. A photo bus with a fixed 50/50 beam split and an upright (right-sided) image is available on request. All BA310MET microscopes carry a 5-fold objective nosepiece with reverse orientation for easy specimen access and precise centring when changing magnification.

Objectives

Objectives

New LM Plan Achromatics for incident light
In order to achieve the best image results with BA310MET microscopes, Motic has developed a new generation of LM Plan Achromatic objectives for non-covered samples. These LWD objectives made of high-quality glass follow the successful CCIS® concept for modern infinity optics. Together with the tube lens, a fully corrected intermediate image is obtained, which is accessible via a phototube. Two EC-M Plan Achromatic objectives are available for improved resolution. The standard N-WF 10X/20 eyepieces for spectacles wearers are equipped with high-quality glass lenses and allow dioptre compensation even when using reticles for measuring purposes.

Flexibility for composite materials
The BA310MET models’ incident light illuminator is equipped with a 50W halogen light source and an external power supply. The integrated aperture and field diaphragms are responsible for optimising image contrast by reducing stray light. A polariser/analyser set for polarisation contrast also helps to reduce reflections, especially by low levels of magnification. The BA310MET-T stands additionally offer an integrated 30W halogen transmitted light with a field diaphragm for real Köhler illumination. It is possible to replace the halogen light source with an LED module with different colour temperatures. For best possible illumination, a new LWD condenser is an integral part of these microscopes. Thanks to a separate power supply, incident and transmitted light can be freely combined for composite materials.
