The iOptron LiteRoc tripod is a newly developed tripod which is as light as possible but as sturdy as necessary. It, therefore, fits in well with other transportable mounts for mobile observers and astrophotographers. The LiteRoc tripod has a sturdier socket for its extending tripod legs and a larger locking lever compared to its predecessor. The upper tripod legs have a diameter of 45mm (1.75”) and the lower section, one of 38mm (1.5”). This makes the extending legs just as strong as the legs on the earlier 2” tripod. Due to the upper part’s narrower design, the LiteRoc is lighter.
