For the decisive moment: you can one hundred percent rely on the second-generation Swarovski dS in any situation – it is the perfect companion for every hunting challenge.

The dS is the complete shooting solution. It measures all relevant parameters and calculates the correct aiming point. For the hunter, shooting at a wide range of distances is greatly simplified by this support from the riflescope. The riflescope calculates the correct aiming point at the touch of a button, taking into account distance, air pressure, temperature and angle of fire, as well as previously input magnification and individual ballistic data.

What is new is that the hunting-relevant data displayed in the high-resolution display can be pre-configured using the dS configurator app. This allows the hunter to, for example, show six different digital reticles in the display. The hunter saves their individual selection of parameters (e.g. wind speed, bullet velocity, impact energy), which they want to view in the display, and can also determine where they should be positioned. Elements such as windage marks and the new tilt warning can be switched on and off. The new reticle illumination automatically selects between three brightness levels.

Digital intelligence

The calculation of the aiming point is based on the individual ballistic data of the weapon/ammunition combination. These are entered using the dS Configurator app and the calculated ballistic curve is transferred directly to the dS over Bluetooth.

Smart targeting

It has never been so easy to focus on the essentials when hunting. At the touch of a button, the DS displays the precise aiming point together with all the essential data.

Perfectly tailored to you – just as you want it

Thanks to its highest degree of customization, the dS can be configured precisely to your own personal needs and different hunting situations.

Perfection in view

The uncompromising optics with 5x zoom and high detail recognition, excellent viewing comfort, as well as the classic reticle in combination with the high-resolution display, all guarantee the best combination of analogue and digital features in a riflescope.

dS Configurator app – smart personalisation

The dS Configurator app helps to configure the dS to your specific combination of weapons and ammunition, and to adapt the display according to your requirements.

Design

The second-generation dS 5–25x52 P comes in a slimmer design. The bigger gap between the cockpit and the magnification adjustment ring makes it even easier to operate the adjustment ring when taking aim.

Measuring distance and aiming point correction

When the measurement button is pressed, an illuminated circle – the target mark for distance measurement – appears and the measurement function is activated. When the button is released, the measurement is triggered and the aiming point, calculated from your entered data, appears. The reference mark is the centre aiming point of the physical reticle. The device measures the exact distance and immediately automatically displays the exact aiming point, considering the relevant parameters.

Digital reticle variants

For maximum customisation, the user can choose from six different reticle variants. Line and dot thicknesses can be adjusted in the app.

Display appearance - functions and warnings

There are numerous ways use the app to configure the DS according to your personal preferences:

Display in metric or imperial units of measure

Selection of the desired reticle variant

Wind strength, bullet speed, flight time and impact energy: selection of the parameters (max. 3) to be displayed and determination of each parameter’s position in the display

Switch on and off display elements (windage marks, tilt warning)

Set specific values (wind strength, line thickness, windage marks, reticle thickness, display duration)

Configuration using app

The riflescope can be completely configured according to your preferences using the dS Configurator app on your smartphone/tablet.

New features in the app:

Displays the maximum range at maximum magnification with the currently selected settings

Ballistic coefficient selectable between G1 and G7

Optional trajectory correction using impact point deviation (measurement only of the muzzle velocity is required, BC calculation by means of impact point deviation)

Operating the reticle illumination

To switch on the reticle illumination (night reticle), the plus and minus buttons should be pressed simultaneously for half a second (alternatively, only the plus or minus buttons can be pressed for half a second). When the reticle illumination is activated, the brightness can now be adjusted using the +/– buttons and selected from 64 brightness levels. Fine adjustment is carried out by pressing the +/– buttons once (single pulse). In order to ensure the best possible visibility during use, the dS automatically selects between three brightness levels based on the ambient brightness.

SWAROLIGHT

If only the centre stop is activated (night mode), the SWAROLIGHT function on the rifle scope is automatically activated. A tilt sensor automatically detects whether the weapon is in shooting position. If this is not the case, the reticle illumination switches off automatically. When the weapon is returned to the shooting position, the illumination unit automatically switches on again.

Automatic shut-off function

The time taken until the reticle illumination and display are automatically switched off is defined in the dS configurator app. The hourglass symbol appears as a warning 10 seconds before the power is switched off. To extend the duration of the display by the pre-determined time, press the + or – button or tilt the dS at least 20° to the right or left. If the display has switched off, the measurement button must be pressed to re-activate the measurement function.

Indication in case of measurement error

The maximum measuring range is influenced by external factors. If the distance measurement shows "---", either the measurement range has been exceeded or insufficient light is reflected from the target.
