Omegon’s original fork mount: Ultra sturdy base for large binoculars
Feel the wind of change with the new Omegon fork mount - one that will no longer shake your binoculars. Your binoculars will be extra stable on this fork mount. This Omegon mount is more advanced than comparable models. An all-rounder for your 20x80, 25x100 or comparable field glasses.
The advantages at a glance:
- Stable fork mount with a modified design
- Enables steady and precise observations
- Wide frame of 255mm even for very large binoculars
- Comfortably angle binoculars upwards using the improved lever clamping
- Can be attached to tripod using 3/8" thread, ¼" socket for binoculars adapter
Against the wind
Perhaps you are familiar with the following: Your binoculars are sitting on a tripod head but it is unable to cope with their size and weight. It starts to shake at the slightest touch, making your binoculars wobble. To ensure you have fun observing, sit your large binoculars on this fork mount. A stable and calm image is the result.
Wider fork for larger binoculars
The fork is 26mm wider than in the standard version. This gives it an internal width of 255mm. Even the giant Omegon Brightstar binoculars with their 110mm objective aperture can be easily mounted on this.
Comfortably navigate and fasten with improved height clamps
You can get going as soon as a pair of binoculars have been mounted. Find the object of your choice with full height and azimuthal adjustment. Thanks to Teflon azimuthal bearings, the lenses can be smoothly rotated 360°. You can easily select objects between the horizon and the zenith.
To enable you to easily fix your binoculars at any height, the clamps have been improved. You now have a large amount of leverage on the left- and right-hand sides. This makes clamping easier and more effective.
3/8" tripod connection
The Omegon fork mount can be attached to any tripod with a 3/8" thread. It is best suited to a sturdy tripod. The advantages: You can use a (3/8”) normal tripod - one that you are already using for your camera or spotting scope.
However, the fork can also be adapted to fit on an M10 thread or on an EQ-5 or HEQ-5 tripod.
