More about the series Frontier ED...
Hawke Frontier ED
Using a superior optical system, designed around ED glass, the Frontier ED is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the best binoculars available in today’s market. With stunning colour retention, crisp definition and excellent light transmission, you are sure to be blown away by its performance in the field. The benefits of the Extra-low Dispersion glass are clear to see, with controlled chromatic aberration eliminating color fringing allowing the subjects detail to be clearly visible.
Twist-Up Eyepieces:
The contoured twist-up eye pieces with stop positions allow you to set your correct eye relief depending on personal preference or if eye glasses are being used.
Ergonomic Design:
When using binoculars for extended periods, flaws in design can quickly become apparent. Designed with this in mind, all Frontier binoculars use a sculpted rubber outer with all controls within proportion of each other. The rubber itself has grip sections, larger on the heavier 43mm objective models and finer on the light weight 42mm and 32mm models. The smooth focus knob, with a 1.7 full turn mechanism, fits neatly within easy reach and operates well even with gloved hands. Eyecups are contoured and the dioptre is easy to set-up.
Extra-low Dispersion Glass:
Reducing chromatic aberration with ED glass, the Frontier binoculars allow every detail to be seen with crisp, clear color reproduction. Phase corrected prisms and fully multi-coated optics increase brightness even in poor light conditions.
