The Topas 7x50 is a classic marine binoculars featuring a porro prism design. The optics offer good twilight performance and the 7x magnification has proven to be standard for this application. In addition, the Topas has an integrated and illuminated magnetic compass, as well as a graticule for easily measuring sizes or distances, which is supported by a ring scale on the lens nozzle for calculating. The binoculars are waterproof; thanks to their ergonomic rubber armouring, they fit comfortably in the hand and are also protected against shocks.
The individual eyepiece focusing makes it possible to adjust the binoculars once and then obtain a sharp image at all nautically relevant distances. Foldable eyecups also allow spectacle wearers to use the entire field of view. Using BAK-4 optical glass and multi-coating, it always provides a bright and high-contrast image.
