This accessory lets you turn your GoTo mount into a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can then use your smartphone and the StarSeek Astronomy app, available in the iTunes App Store, to control your telescope. The graphical user interface allows more intuitive operation and offers more control options than the hand box.
The StarSeek module is compatible with the following Orion mounts:
- Atlas EQ-G and Atlas Pro AZ/EQ-G
- Sirius EQ-G
- SkyView Pro GoTo
- StarSeeker GoTo
- SkyQuest XTG and XXG GoTo Dobsonians
- SkyQuest XTi and XXi IntelliScope Dobsonians (the Orion Cable RS-232 is necessary for this)
- StarBlast 6i IntelliScope (the Orion Cable RS-232 is necessary for this)
The module can also be connected to mounts from other manufacturers via an RS-232 or USB interface.
