A step forward in thermal imaging
Helion 2 thermal imaging cameras are designed for professional and semi-professional use, including hunting, scouting and rescue operations. Hunters tracking game in the forest; hiking enthusiasts who want to protect their camp at night; security officers in search of suspects; civil protection officers in search of survivors or missing persons; the Pulsar Helion's functionality ensures that it is the right choice for every purpose.
High-resolution thermal imaging sensor
Thanks to the NETD <40 MK thermal imaging sensor, Helion 2 thermal imaging cameras provide a highly detailed image, even in poor weather conditions such as rain or fog.
Full-colour HD AMOLED display
The new 1024x768 HD AMOLED display features improved colour reproduction, low power consumption, high contrast and a fast response time, and delivers clear and consistent images when observing on the move or in freezing conditions.
Shock-proof magnesium alloy housing
The lightweight magnesium alloy housing is characterized by its high structural rigidity and resistance to external mechanical and climatic influences. The thermal imaging camera's housing material effectively removes and dissipates heat generated by the operation of the electronic components, thus guaranteeing stable operation and high image quality during long periods of observation.
Observation range 1,800 metres
The effective range for a 1.8m x 0.5m object under field conditions (e.g. a person in outerwear, in the field with a forest background) is up to 1,800m, depending on the model.
B-pack power supply
Helion thermal imaging cameras have an autonomous B-pack power supply. This consists of a quick-change IPS7 power supply unit which guarantees 10-13 hours operation in the maximum-activity mode. Powerful IPS14 battery packs, as well as CR123A and AA battery compartments are also available to ensure flawless operation.
Stadiametric rangefinder
The Helion has a built-in stadiametric rangefinder, which is displayed as a reticle and accurately measures the distance to a target of a pre-determined size (deer - 1.7m; boar - 0.7m; hare - 0.3m) and displays it on the screen.
Colour palettes
In addition to the popular White Hot and Black Hot images, the Helion offers 8 colour palettes for accurate colour rendering of the temperature map. The transition from a colour palette to the default White Hot function is also quick and easy.
Remote control and live internet streaming
A highlight of the Helion is the ability to connect the device via Wi-Fi to an Android or iOS mobile device using the enabled Stream Vision app. The Stream Vision App firmware connects your Helion thermal imaging camera to an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet, and allows you to receive recorded files in the real-time mode, remotely control your Helion using your smartphone, and stream videos online to YouTube.
Variable magnification
Variable zoom, with up to 18 times magnification, offers more focus and better object detection over longer distances.
Image Boost technology
Pulsar's proprietary Image Boost technology consists of software algorithms designed to improve image sharpness and overall image detail. Image Boost results in a sharper, more detailed field of view and improved object identification capabilities.
Completely waterproof
Helion thermal imaging cameras can be operated during rainfall of any intensity. Thanks to its IPX7 (IEC 60529) rating, heavy rain or snow will not cause any harm.
Updatable firmware
The Stream Vision app, compatible with iOS and Android, has been developed for initial installation and later updates. Stream Vision always provides you with the latest versions of the firmware.
External power supply
Helion thermal imaging cameras have a micro USB interface that enables power to be supplied from external power supply units such as power banks. The power bank will supply the device even in extremely cold weather conditions and protect it from rapid discharge.
User interface
The Helion 2 is designed to be easy to use. The devices have a simple icon-driven menu, a clear display, and an alphanumeric status bar at the top of the display. Internal menu items are displayed on the high-contrast background, so you can adjust your device without losing sight of the action.
Power-saving mode
If the observation is to be paused for a short time, the user can activate the power saving function which deactivates the display. This function ensures that residual light from the device does not risk the user being detected, This, of course, also applies between observations or when starting an observation. The display remains switched off while all other systems continue to function. To reactivate the device, you only need to switch on the display.
Wide operating temperature range
The frost-resistant AMOLED display with 1024x768 pixel resolution ensures trouble-free operation at extreme temperatures of -25°C - +50°C.
Remote control (optional)
An ergonomically designed remote control with control wheel provides absolutely simple control.
Effective sensor temperature stabilisation
The cooling fins on the device's housing prevent the sensor and other components from overheating.
