Dew Shield 8"

A replacement protective cap considerably delays fogging of the front correction plate of a Maksutov or Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Since most nights in Europe are humid, the dew shield is a very important accessory.

The dew shield also blocks stray light from the side and protects the correction plate from accidental contact and scratches.

This sturdy aluminium dew cap is coated with black velvet on its inside surface. The cap is attached to the lens tube using clamps. The dew cap comes with its own dust cap so that the cap can remain securely attached.

The cap has special openings for cable management, for using heated rings or cameras in primary focus.
