Baader counterweights are made from solid stainless steel.

Stainless steel always has a little surface roughness, but the advantage is that its surface does not degrade, does not have to be painted or coated and can withstand scratches and dents without becoming unsightly.

A counterweight made from solid V2A steel cannot age or rust.

These counterweights have a 0.25" photo thread and can be attached to cameras.
