Skywatcher is a trademark of the company Synta. Skywatcher products are very popular with amateur astronomers. This is due on the one hand to the great variety of products from the small entry-level telescope to the huge Dobsonian, and on the other hand to their reasonable prices.

In particular the equatorial mounts in the series EQ5, EQ6 and EQ8 are indispensable for amateur astronomy, since very many astrophotographers use these mounts.
