Gerd Neumann is not only a mechanical engineer, but has also been a hobby astronomer for many years. As a pupil and student, technical curiosity and a shortage of cash was always an incentive for him to develop astronomical instruments and accessories for himself.

The many technical requests from astronomer friends motivated Gerd Neumann to register his business as early as 1998. Today, his precision mechanical and optical instruments company employs several staff and has earned an excellent reputation in the astronomy scene.
