Paton-Hawksley

Paton Hawksley Electronics Ltd. was founded in Bristol, England in 1959 to develop and build digital measuring instruments. In this context, diffraction gratings are also produced.

Over time, the company began to specialise in instruments for teaching physics. The company was renamed Paton Hawksley Education Ltd in 1994.

The Star Analyzer 100 is particularly popular among amateur astronomers. This transmission diffraction grating can be simply screwed into the socket of a 1.25" eyepiece. This makes it possible to observe and photograph stellar spectra easily and affordably.
