The 'Nebulae' disc illustrates nebulous objects in the universe, which are connected with the origin and the death of stars. For the first telescopic observers, these were simply whitish astronomical objects that appeared rather vaguely delineated. This led to the use of the term 'nebula' - the Latin for 'cloud' or 'fog'. Only modern telescopes can show their full diversity of colour and shape.
