CF-Super TECHNOLOGY
At the heart of the Pulsar GS product line is a unique combination of R-Contact optics with a CF-Super image intensifier tube, specially developed for the highest edge-to-edge resolution performance, and which offers particularly good value for money in the consumer market for night vision devices. With the CF-Super, the resolution difference between the centre and the periphery of the image is small, and is no more than 20%. This resolution ratio is five times better than the 1st generation.
Edge night vision devices are equipped with various infrared illuminators. The Edge GS 1x20 night vision goggles are equipped with an energy-efficient wide-angle IR illuminator. It is designed to be head-mounted. The IR illuminator facilitates map-reading and the illumination of dark, confined spaces. The Edge 3.5x50L has a powerful infrared illuminator for use at greater distances. Edge night vision binoculars and goggles feature adjustable IR illuminator power.
Protection from exposure to excessive light
The Edge GS has an additional system which protects the residual light amplifier from bright light. If the illumination intensity exceeds a pre-determined threshold, the power supply drops or is automatically disconnected.
Eyepieces
Edge night vision binoculars and goggles include five-lens eyepieces, resulting in sharp, high-contrast images and minimised distortion.
Housing
Robust, waterproof, impact-resistant, composite housing effectively protects internal components against the effects of dirt and moisture. This allows the device to be used in extreme conditions.
Controls
The Edge GS controls and buttons have been ergonomically designed for easy operation. The night vision binoculars are equipped with a control for the infrared illuminator power intensity.
Angled eye-cup
The soft rubber eye-cups ensure that no light escapes from the device, allowing the user to go unnoticed.
Weaver rail
The Weaver rail allows the user to attach additional accessories such as IR illuminators to Edge night vision devices.
